Win Without War

Congress MUST Stop War with Iran

President Trump says “the ultimate option” is on the table -- but let’s be clear: the Constitution does NOT give him the authority to start a war.

Under Article 1, Section 8, Clause 11 of the Constitution it is Congress’s SOLE authority to declare war -- and congressional insiders tell us there are just DAYS left for them to exercise this responsibility to STOP WAR with Iran in a must-pass defense bill.

Will you ask your Senator to make it 100% clear there is no legal authority for President Trump to take us to war with Iran?

Dear Senators,

In response to the attacks on Saudi Arabia, President Trump and Secretary of State Pompeo have repeatedly threatened a military response. As you know, Congress has the sole constitutional prerogative to make and stop war before it starts. We urge you to reclaim Congress’s war powers and make stopping war with Iran an urgent priority by supporting Sec. 1229 in H.R. 2500, the House-passed National Defense Authorization Act.
