Congress: We demand diplomacy with Iran!

Iran’s top nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, was assassinated in late November. And while the United States isn’t believed to be directly responsible for this strike, there’s little doubt that Trump’s reckless foreign policy has created the conditions for this brazen action. 

From now until January 20, 2021, we may face the most difficult moments of this presidency yet. Trump is incredibly dangerous when his back is against a wall — and he’s never been more cornered than he is now that he’s leaving the White House. That’s why he’s throwing up EVERY roadblock and obstacle he can to stop an incoming Biden administration from reversing a disastrous foreign policy that rewards warhawks and arms dealers. 

At this moment, Congress holds the key. They have the power to declare war — and they can also stop them before they start. Congress must resist Trump’s efforts to push us into war with Iran, and support diplomacy instead.
