The Senate is likely to vote on the annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) soon.
The bill is a military contractor wishlist that often has broad, bipartisan support. But here’s the thing: because the NDAA is all but guaranteed to pass, we can use it to our advantage by making sure it includes key progressive priorities.
Right now, our priority #1 is a critical amendment which would once and for all cut off U.S. military support to the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.
But if we want to see this amendment included in the final NDAA — and witness the beginning of the end of U.S. complicity in Yemen’s brutal war — we need to do everything we can to ensure it has broad support. And that means sending a note to your senators urging them to join on as cosponsors NOW.
