Tell Congress: We demand accountability for January 6

It’s been one year since right-wing insurrectionists violently stormed the U.S. Capitol, waving Confederate flags, destroying property, assaulting law enforcement officers, and threatening members of Congress in an effort to overturn election results.

It was not just a violent attack on a building — it was an attack on the very notion of democracy. And a majority of people now understand that it was incited by Donald Trump and complicit Republicans in Congress.

But it goes further than incitement: reports confirm that the organizers of the January 6th insurrection had inside help from not one, not two, but *seven* far-right members of Congress: Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Mo Brooks, Lauren Boebert, Madison Cawthorn, Louie Gohmert, Paul Gosar, and Andy Biggs.

We’ve seen hearings and heard outrage, but there’s been little accountability. That means we’ve got to go further if we want to hold these members of Congress accountable for failing to uphold their oath of office.

Let’s mark this anniversary by taking collective action: to let every member of Congress know that we will not forget January 6 — or how their colleagues betrayed their oaths of office.
