We Say: No new money for the Pentagon!

Revitalizing and greening our aging roads, bridges, and power grids is a critical opportunity the U.S. government can take to prioritize community needs that have long been ignored in favor of corporate profits.

But if we don’t act fast, those needs will once again be deprioritized. Right now, a cadre of arms industry lobbyists is working to ensure that they get a giant cut of a critically needed infrastructure bill, the American Jobs Plan.

We can’t let this legislation be yet another spending spree for the Pentagon — or its unaccountable weapons contractors. Can you take two minutes to urge congressional leadership to reject any funds for the Pentagon in that bill? It’s time we put the PEOPLE first!

The American Jobs Plan cannot be about Pentagon funding — it must be focused on laying the foundation for our future by investing in people-centered solutions.
