Win Without War

Tell the Senate: Repeal the 02 AUMF!

Nearly twenty years ago to the day, Congress authorized the invasion of Iraq, giving a greenlight to a military intervention that destroyed hundreds of thousands of lives. Win Without War grew out of the original movement to stop this war — and today we have an urgent chance to finally wipe this law off the books.

Here's the state of play: Earlier this year, the House included Rep. Barbara Lee's amendment to repeal the 02 AUMF in its version of the NDAA — a must pass defense bill that is all but certain to go to the president’s desk AND get his signature. That means, there's just one thing standing in our way: The U.S. Senate.

Luckily we’re this close to locking down a bipartisan, filibuster-proof majority that will tear this endless war law off the books. Can you send a note to your senators now and help us get an 02 AUMF repeal to the finish line?

To members of the 117th Senate:

We urge you to repeal the 2002 Authorization for the Use of Military Force Against Iraq as part of the FY2023 National Defense Authorization Act. It is time for Congress to reclaim their constitutional war powers by repealing this outdated and unrestrained presidential military authority.
