Congress is back in session, which means it’s time to double down on our campaign to stop a dangerous, unprecedented Pentagon-Israel Defense Forces partnership from passing into law. Here’s where things stand:

The “U.S.-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative” was buried within this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) — a spending bill that usually passes without fuss.

But this year, together with activists and movement partners, we’ve sounded the alarm over this dangerous effort to deepen coordination between two deadly war machines. It’s helped push the House to barely pass its version of the NDAA over historic opposition. Meanwhile, a majority in the Senate has stopped its version in its tracks.

The next critical juncture will likely be during conference, when lawmakers from both chambers reconcile the differences in their versions of the NDAA. Then, the final package will get full votes on the House and Senate floor. It means our last opportunity to defeat this provision for good is coming up fast.
