Win Without War

Day 1: Biden must start ending U.S. complicity in the war in Yemen.

To President-elect Biden:

As activists deeply distressed about the U.S. role in perpetuating the world’s largest humanitarian crisis, we are counting on you to immediately fulfill your pledge to end U.S. complicity in the war in Yemen. That work must begin on Day 1 by immediately reversing the Houthis’ designation as a foreign terrorist organization.

This designation will not advance peace or create accountability. Instead, it creates new, potentially immeasurable consequences by impeding the flow of critical humanitarian aid and exacerbating an ongoing conflict, famine, and medical crisis.
