It’s a $45 MILLION project to stroke the ego of a man who dreams of ruling like a dictator. 

The Pentagon is coordinating with the White House to plan a huge military spectacle next month. The latest details include 150 military vehicles including tanks rolling through DC streets, 6,600 uniformed soldiers marching past the White House, 50 helicopters, and fighter jets screaming overhead to recognize the Army’s 250th anniversary on June 14 — and perhaps not uncoincidentally, celebrate Trump’s 79th birthday.

But here’s the thing: This war parade simply cannot happen without support and cooperation from DC officials. 

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, alongside the DC Council, has the power to put up bureaucratic roadblocks at every turn, from requiring Trump’s team to cover the costs of police, security overtime, and road repairs, to guarantees protestors won’t be arrested or brutalized. 

It’s all to say, there’s INCREDIBLE leverage to stop Trump’s tank party in its tracks.

But DC can’t stop this parade alone: If we’re going to stop Trump again, Mayor Bowser needs to go toe-to-toe with the White House — an intimidating proposition for anyone. To do it, she’ll need to know that people across the country are with her — and that’s where you come in.
