Win Without War

Tell Congress: U.S. support for Netanyahu’s war must have limits

The Biden administration has just notified Congress of its intent to authorize massive new arms sales to the Israeli government. It looks like BILLIONS of dollars in the same kinds of weapons that have already killed tens of thousands of people in Gaza, spurred a famine, done little to bring home the hostages, or shore up the long-term security for people in the region.

The potential for U.S. complicity in even more violence and suffering couldn't be higher. The most recent arms packages announced and reported on last week include:

  • $18.8 billion for 50 F-15 fighter jets and related equipment;
  • $774 million for 32,739 120mm tank cartridges;
  • $61 million for 50,000 high-explosive mortar cartridges; and
  • $262 million for 6,500 Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDaMs).

The U.S. government must go further to hold our allies accountable and save lives now before it's too late. If you’re outraged that the U.S. government is green-lighting more suffering and violence in the Middle East you’re not alone. Congress is in recess right now and that means we’ve got the narrowest window to push them to vote to block as many sales as possible, as quickly as they can, when they get back in September.

Activists — constituents — like you have an urgent role to play in pushing the U.S. government to use its influence for good. Congress needs to hear from you today.

To members of the 118th Congress:

The U.S. government should use every ounce of influence to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East, end violence in Gaza, get the hostages home, and save lives across Israel, Palestine, and beyond. That can’t happen if you continue to treat this moment as business as usual and allow the Biden administration to send the Israeli government more weapons without conditions.

I urge you to do all you can to immediately uphold U.S. law and suspend offensive weapons sales to Israel.
