Tell Congress: No arms to Israel without humanitarian aid access

The Biden administration recently accepted the Netanyahu government’s assurances that Israel was not restricting aid access in Gaza. Just days later, another seven aid workers lay dead.

The Israeli government’s “assurances” run counter to numerous assessments and investigations from independent human rights monitors, humanitarian organizations, and press outlets on the ground, which ALL agree the Israeli government is obstructing the delivery of aid as part of its assault in Gaza. That includes airstrikes like the one that killed World Central Kitchen workers.

There should be consequences in the face of so much evidence, but instead, the Biden administration continues to transfer billions of dollars in weapons to the Israeli government. The most recent allotment includes more than 1,800 MK84 2,000-pound bombs — the same bombs The Washington Post reports are linked to previous mass-casualty events in Gaza.

It’s time for President Biden to enforce U.S. law to end this terrible conflict and save lives now — and that means suspending military aid to Israel until they improve humanitarian aid access across Gaza. Congress can play a key role in making sure he does it — and as a constituent, you can, too.
