It’s already clear that for the next 1,458 days a Trump presidency will threaten our work to build a more safe and peaceful world.
Within hours of returning to the White House, Trump signed executive orders and took actions that harm refugees and asylum-seekers, dismantle crucial national security infrastructure, and cut funding to social safety net programs. Lawsuits are already being filed and while we don’t know exactly what will happen next, we know we’ll face challenges and crises from every direction.
No matter who sits in the White House, one thing remains the same: We will not abandon people or our mission to build a more peaceful world, now or ever. An organization like Win Without War was built exactly for moments like this. Our job, now and always, is to defend communities facing violence and injustice.
Our work is entering a whole new phase and the priorities we set now could determine the direction of U.S. foreign policy for years to come. While our small team will do everything in our power to take each challenge on as it comes, the truth is we will need to prioritize. One thing is clear: To have the strongest impact we need to hear from you today.
