The Trump administration’s disastrous actions and threats expand by the day — toppling governments, “running” sovereign nations, and annexing foreign territories.

We can’t overstate the urgency of this moment. If Congress fails to rein Trump in, he will only be further emboldened to commit more lawless and unaccountable violence against anyone, anywhere.

The Senate must exert its constitutional war powers and STOP Trump’s illegal, violent imperialism in Venezuela. Sen. Tim Kaine’s war powers resolution, S.J.Res.98, gives them the opportunity to do just that — and it could come to the floor for a vote as soon as this week.

Now, we need to flood every Senate office with calls from constituents to ensure they rise to meet this unprecedented moment. With the vote margins expected to be razor-thin, you have an important role to play today.
