Congress: We need accountability for war crimes in Yemen

An investigation by The Washington Post and Security Force Monitor at Columbia Law School’s Human Rights Institute (SFM) revealed further confirmation of D.C.’s worst kept secret: Saudi Arabia committed apparent war crimes in Yemen — with U.S. support.

But despite mounting evidence like this, according to a recent internal government report, the State and Defense Departments STILL fail to accurately assess our role in this war.

ENOUGH. We cannot let ourselves off the hook when U.S. weapons kill and injure innocent families and children. We’re already hearing champions raise their voices, but with your support we can get more members of Congress to join them.

That’s why it’s time for us to seize this moment to demand that members of Congress tell the truth about the U.S. weapons in Yemen — and do everything they can do to END U.S. complicity in this war.

To Members of the 117th Congress:

Evidence continues to mount that Saudi Arabia has committed war crimes in Yemen with U.S.-made weapons and U.S. training and support. Members of Congress must go on record to demand accountability from the State and Defense Departments for these egregious abuses and work to end U.S. complicity in Yemen.
