Hold Senators Accountable for Voting AGAINST Stopping Trump’s Warmongering in Venezuela

Sens. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Tim Kaine (D-VA), and Rand Paul (R-KY) recently forced a vote on a War Powers Resolution (WPR) that would’ve BLOCKED Trump’s path to war with Venezuela.

Unfortunately, 51 senators shamefully voted to ALLOW Trump to keep marching us to the brink of another war.

If you’re outraged, you’re not alone. But as Trump continues to bomb first and ask questions later, this won’t be the last opportunity for Congress to assert its authority and pull us off the path to war.

This fight isn’t over. If we are going to flip the handful of votes we need to build a majority of senators willing to exert their constitutional war powers and stop Trump from starting a new endless war, accountability can go a long way. That’s why these 51 senators need to hear from constituents like you.

To the 51 Senators who voted NO on S.J.Res.90:

A series of lethal strikes and the amassing of troops and warships in the Caribbean have escalated tensions with Venezuela, inching the United States closer to the brink of war. The fact that military action continues to happen without congressional authorization amounts to alarming executive overreach.

That’s why I am incredibly disappointed in your vote against S.J.Res.90, a War Powers Resolution to prevent us from launching another endless war. I urge you to change course and assert your constitutional authority to pull us off the path toward all-out war in Latin America.
