Amnesty International just released an explosive report confirming not only that Facebook’s algorithms drove the genocide in Burma, but that Meta, Facebook’s parent company, knew about it and did NOTHING.
Meta must be held accountable. That’s why we’re launching an urgent petition calling on Meta to pay reparations to the Rohingya for its role in the Burmese genocide. But here’s the thing: This is anything but a simple petition. Because by adding your name, you’re putting Meta on notice.
Why does that matter? Because Meta, just like any other company, cares deeply about their brand. The more people who sign, the more this gets shared in inboxes, across social media, and beyond. And the more that happens, the more Facebook and Meta’s reputations are irrevocably linked with causing a genocide.
It starts with this petition, but it ends with Meta paying for what it’s done.
