Win Without War

Tell the House: Repeal outdated war authorizations!

20 years ago bombs fell across Iraq as the United States launched an invasion built on a lie. Entire cities were reduced to rubble and millions lost their homes. As many as 315,000 Iraqi civilians were ultimately killed as the violence dragged on.

Today, the law that opened the door to this horrific war — the 2002 Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) —  is STILL on the books, and STILL giving presidents the power to launch devastating strikes that can ruin lives and make us all less safe.

But that could change: Last month, the Senate took a critical step to right the wrongs of the past by voting to repeal two key Iraq war authorizations. That means there’s just *one* remaining obstacle to making this repeal happen: the House.

We can make history in 2023 by closing the door to endless war, and that’s why we’re writing to you today. Can you help make sure the 2002 AUMF repeal gets through Congress and makes it to President Biden’s desk?
