Win Without War

Tell the Senate: Pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act

The right to vote is sacred for people — at home and around the world.

And that sacred right to vote is under attack at home right now. Starting from the bottom, all the way to the top: we recently learned that Trump explored seizing voting machines in key swing states. State officials, following Trump’s lead, have introduced bills bent on voter suppression.

The John Lewis Voting Rights Act will restore much-needed protections against discrimination targeting Black people, low-income people, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups whose voices have for too long been suppressed.

Expanding access to the polls and ensuring our voices — the pro-peace, anti-war majority — are heard, is how we change that. We’re so close but we’re not there yet: the president already said he will sign the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, but with the bill stuck in the Senate, we’ve got to make a huge push to get it across the finish line!
